Z is excited to bring her artistry and passion for theater lighting to the Department of Performance, Play, and Design. For the past 16 years, she taught theater lighting and electrics at PCPA - Pacific Conservatory Theater, where she served as the Lighting Director and resident lighting designer. At PCPA Z, designed lighting for 80+ shows including: The Play That Goes Wrong, American Mariachi, Into The Woods, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, The Addams Family, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, Shakespeare in Love, Mamma Mia!, Disney’s Newsies, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, The Whipping Man, In The Heights, Shrek the Musical, Cinderella, The Pirates of Penzance, Richard III, The San Patricios, Forever Plaid, Spring Awakening, and Always…Patsy Cline.
As a freelance photographer, Z shoots for The Great American Melodrama, Lightswitch events, actor headshots, select weddings, and personal creative projects.
Other theater companies Z has worked with include The Great American Melodrama, Monterey Peninsula College, Festival Mosaic, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Oklahoma State University, Salt Lake Acting Company, The Grand Theater, The Egyptian Theater, Salt Lake Shakespeare Company, Ririe Woodbury Dance Company, Plan B Theater Company, and Cornell University.
Z earned her MFA at the University of Oklahoma.
