Moon holds a B.A. in Art with an emphasis in Printmaking from UC Santa Cruz. After holding the position of assistant director in the Smith Gallery and Sesnon Gallery at UCSC, and at the Pope Gallery in downtown Santa Cruz, she served as event manager, publicity person and graphic designer for the UCSC Arts & Lectures program for seven years.

From 2006-2016, Moon provided graphic design for non-profit arts organizations including the Santa Cruz County Symphony, Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music, and the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History Publications. During this time, Moon was also Staff Research Associate in the UCSC Art Department’s Printmaking Studio where she co-managed the facility, provided instructional support for a full range of printmaking classes and co-organized the famous, fabled and beloved annual Print Sale.

Moon took the position of Graduate and Undergraduate Academic Advisor for the UCSC Theater Arts Department (now the Department of Performance, Play & Design) in 2016, and in 2020 shifted some non-advising duties in the department to take on the position of Lead Undergraduate Advisor for the Division of the Arts where she provides academic advising and works to support student success in a variety of ways within the division and in cross-campus initiatives.

As an artist, Moon has been included in numerous competitive art exhibitions and is the winner of a Winsor & Newton Award and several Purchase Awards from national art competitions.
